Where to request it
Municipality of Anchorage — Municipal Clerk's Office / Elections Divisionelections@anchorageak.gov | (907) 243-VOTE / (907) 243-8683 | Municipal Clerk: wwmasmc@anchorageak.gov | Clerk's Office: (907) 343-4311 | P.O. Box 196650, Anchorage, AK 99519-6650 | Physical: 632 W. 6th Avenue, Suite 250, Anchorage, AK 99501
Cost
N/A for voter file (not sold at the municipal level). Municipal public records requests are governed by Alaska Statute 40.25.110 and the MOA records-request policy — typically free for small requests, with duplication / staff time charged at actual cost for larger pulls.
How to request
DO NOT request the voter file from the Municipal Clerk — the Municipality does not maintain or sell a separate voter registration database. The Anchorage Clerk's Elections Division runs MOA municipal elections (mail-ballot since 2018) off voter rolls supplied by the State Division of Elections. For voter registration DATA, route to the state Division of Elections (see Statewide entry). The Municipal Clerk IS the right contact for: (a) MOA-specific election results / precinct results, (b) ballot status / cure information for MOA mail-ballot elections, (c) ward / assembly-district maps, (d) candidate filings (e.g., Assembly Declaration of Candidacy forms), (e) general municipal public records via the Clerk's public records request form (email to wwmasmc@anchorageak.gov).
Turnaround
Municipal public records requests: typically 10 business days under Alaska's records law (extensions allowed for voluminous requests). Election-results data: usually published the same night or next day for general/runoff municipal elections.
Use restrictions
MOA Clerk's Office handles MUNICIPAL records under AS 40.25.110. Any voter-registration data they hold derives from the state file and carries the same AS 15.07.195 confidentiality rules. The Clerk will redirect bulk voter-list requesters to the state Division of Elections Region II office in Anchorage.
