A plain-language guide to getting on the ballot in every one of Kansas' 105 counties. Every candidate gets two ways on: pay a filing fee -- 1% of one year's salary, or a flat $5 for offices paying $1,000 or less -- or file a nomination petition instead. County Commissioner seats are staggered and some are on this year's ballot; County Clerk, Treasurer, Sheriff, County Attorney and Register of Deeds run together on the presidential-year cycle and are not up again until 2028. Each guide names your county election officer -- the County Clerk almost everywhere, or an appointed Election Commissioner in Kansas' four largest counties. Click the map or use the list.

Motion51 does not hold the Kansas voter file. Kansas law (K.S.A. 25-2320a) makes clear that using the statewide voter list for political campaign or election purposes is not a commercial use, so nothing stops you from buying it and bringing it to us -- we load your copy in for you. Cut turf and send volunteers out with a phone instead of a clipboard. The free tier costs nothing to try.
