How to get the Canyon County voter file
Request it from the office below, send us the file, and you're ready to cut turf. Running countywide or in just part of Canyon County? This is the office either way.
- Where to request it
- Canyon County Elections Office (under the County Clerk)elections@canyoncounty.id.gov | (208) 454-7562 | Elections Office: 5815 Graye Lane, Caldwell, ID 83607 | Office hours: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | County Clerk: Rick Hogaboam — (208) 454-7337
- Cost
- 'Actual cost' only per Idaho Code 34-437 — typically a small duplication + staff-time fee. No published flat schedule; expect $5–$50 for a county-scoped extract. USB / media surcharge possible for large files. Get a quote before submitting if cost is a concern.
- How to request
- Submit a public records request to the Canyon County Elections Office — by email to elections@canyoncounty.id.gov, by phone for guidance at (208) 454-7562, or in person at 5815 Graye Lane, Caldwell. Request must specify fields, scope (Canyon-only), and use (non-commercial / political certification per Idaho Code 34-437). For full-state pulls, the office will redirect to the SOS. Idaho Code 74-103 requires Canyon County agencies to respond to records requests within 3 working days.
- Turnaround
- 3 working days for response per Idaho Code 74-103; fulfillment may take longer depending on scope and file size. Out-of-state requesters get the same 30-day cap as everywhere else in Idaho.
- Use restrictions
- Same as statewide: non-commercial use only (Idaho Code 34-437 + 74-120). Canyon County explicitly notes that voter registration is public record per Idaho Code 34-437 but excludes SSN, DL, and DOB by statute. Idaho Code 74-103 governs response window. Mailing/telephone-list use prohibited.
Costs and rules change — confirm the current details with the office before you order. Once you have the file, we handle loading it, cutting turf, and getting your volunteers knocking.
