How to get the Johnson County voter file
Request it from the office below, send us the file, and you're ready to cut turf. Running countywide or in just part of Johnson County? This is the office either way.
- Where to request it
- Johnson County Election Office(913) 715-6800 | Johnson County Election Office, 2101 East Kansas City Road, Olathe, KS 66061 | Election Commissioner appointed by the Kansas Secretary of State (Johnson is one of four KS counties with an appointed Election Commissioner rather than an elected County Clerk)
- Cost
- Published examples: Polls Election bundle (3 files: advance ballots mailed + returned + voted in person) = $175. Mail Ballot Elections (ballots returned report) = $15 per day. Voter registration list and per-election vote-history reports priced separately on the Fee Schedule & Order Form — call (913) 715-6800 or check the current PDF on jocoelection.org for the registration-list line item.
- How to request
- Use the Johnson County Election Office Fee Schedule & Order Form published on the Information Requests page. Identify which file (registration list, advance-voting-mailed list, advance-voting-returned list, advance-voting-voted-in-person list, election-day-voted list, full polls bundle, mail-ballot returns). Submit by mail, email, or in person to Olathe office. Counties accept the same statutory anti-commercial-use affirmation under K.S.A. 25-2320a. Delivery typically electronic (CSV/Excel) or CD.
- Turnaround
- Typically 5-10 business days. Johnson County is the highest-volume KS election office (largest county) — election-cycle peaks may push longer.
- Use restrictions
- Same as state: K.S.A. 25-2320a anti-commercial-use criminal prohibition; campaign use carved out.
Costs and rules change — confirm the current details with the office before you order. Once you have the file, we handle loading it, cutting turf, and getting your volunteers knocking.
