How to get the Kansas City voter file
Request it from the office below, send us the file, and you're ready to cut turf. Running countywide or in just part of Kansas City? This is the office either way.
- Where to request it
- Kansas City Election Board (KCEB)(816) 842-4820 | info@kceb.org | 4407 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64130
- Cost
- $0.001 per name + $10.00 per flash drive + $10.00 admin fee per order. For ~250K KC voters this is approximately $0.001 x 250,000 + $20 = ~$270. Publicly documented on KCEB website — among the clearest published schedules in MO.
- How to request
- Phone or written request to KCEB. Specify scope (citywide, by ward/precinct, by legislative district) and delivery format (flash drive standard). Requester signs RSMo 115.157.5 non-commercial-use attestation. Vote history can be added on request.
- Turnaround
- Typically 1-2 weeks after payment.
- Use restrictions
- Political use only — RSMo 115.157.5 commercial-use prohibition. KCEB jurisdiction covers ONLY voters inside Kansas City city limits. Kansas City crosses FOUR counties (Jackson, Clay, Platte, Cass) but KCEB handles all KC-limits voters regardless of which county they sit in. Format delivered: fixed ASCII alpha.
Costs and rules change — confirm the current details with the office before you order. Once you have the file, we handle loading it, cutting turf, and getting your volunteers knocking.
