Medina County had an estimated 184,625 residents in July 2024, the 17th most populous of Ohio's 88 counties, up 1.2% since the 2020 census. Of those, 146,450 are 18 or older, the voting-age population, and 21.1% are 65 or older. Its 116,560 active registered voters equal about 79.6% of that voting-age population.
It covers 422 square miles of land (438 people per square mile). The largest cities and towns are Brunswick (35,166), Medina (25,757), Wadsworth (24,753), Lodi (2,794) and Seville (2,375). The American Community Survey (2020-2024) puts it at a median age of 43.3, a median household income of $94,968, 36.2% of adults 25 and older holding a bachelor's degree or higher and 80.3% of occupied homes owned by the people living in them.
In 2024, 107,017 votes were cast for president, about 73.1% of the voting-age population; the Democratic ticket took 37.2% and the Republican ticket 62.0%. The two-party margin moved from R+8.1 in 2008 to R+24.8 in 2024.
