Tuscarawas County had an estimated 92,048 residents in July 2024, the 30th most populous of Ohio's 88 counties, down 1.3% since the 2020 census. Of those, 70,749 are 18 or older, the voting-age population, and 21.0% are 65 or older. Its 49,180 active registered voters equal about 69.5% of that voting-age population.

The largest cities and towns are New Philadelphia (17,378), Dover (12,946), Uhrichsville (5,122), Newcomerstown (3,631) and Strasburg (2,747). The American Community Survey (2020-2024) puts it at a median age of 41.1, a median household income of $65,044, 19.8% of adults 25 and older holding a bachelor's degree or higher and 68.9% of occupied homes owned by the people living in them.
In 2024, 43,019 votes were cast for president, about 60.8% of the voting-age population; the Democratic ticket took 28.0% and the Republican ticket 71.3%. The two-party margin moved from D+2.5 in 2008 to R+43.3 in 2024.
