How to get your Rhode Island voter file
Rhode Island isn't pre-loaded, so you provide the voter file and we load it into Motion51 for you. Here's the official source — request it from the state, send us the file, and you're ready to cut turf.
- Where to request it
- Rhode Island Department of State, Elections Division (Secretary of State Gregg M. Amore)Elections Division, 148 West River Street, Suite 1A, Providence, RI 02904-2615. Phone (401) 222-2340. Fax (401) 222-1444. Email [email protected].
- Cost
- $25 flat fee for the statewide list. Statewide purchase includes 3 free data updates within 1 year of purchase. Sub-state slices (district, city/town) are also sold from this same form; political-party chairpersons and certified candidates receive lists at no charge under RI Gen. Laws 17-6-5.
- How to request
- Download the 'List of Registered Voters' PDF order form, complete purchaser contact block, check the desired scope (Statewide / Congressional District / State Senate District / State Rep District / City or Town) and delivery format (Email / CD / Printout, sorted by last name), enclose a check, and submit by email to [email protected] or mail to the Elections Division. No online self-serve portal.
- Turnaround
- Typically 1-2 weeks from receipt of the order form + payment for email/CD delivery; faster (a few business days) for digital delivery if the request is clean and submitted by email. No published SLA; call (401) 222-2340 to confirm queue.
Costs and rules change — confirm the current details on the official page before you order. Each state also has use restrictions on voter data — check the official agency link above for the specifics. Once you have the file, we handle loading it, cutting turf, and getting your volunteers knocking.
