- How to request
- Bulk voter lists are sourced through ELECT (statewide file filtered to Fairfax locality code). County FOIA route exists for non-list records (e.g., precinct totals, internal correspondence) — submit FOIA to the county FOIA Officer. For a list of registered voters covering only Fairfax, ELECT's Voter List Request Form lets the requester scope to 'locality = Fairfax County'.

- Via ELECT: up to 10 business days. Direct county FOIA: 5 working days statutory under Virginia FOIA (with up to 7-day extension).
- Use restrictions
- Identical Sec. 24.2-405/406 restrictions apply — county cannot release to anyone not qualifying as candidate, party committee, or registered PAC. Use-restriction affidavit required. No internet posting in searchable form.
