Twin Falls County had an estimated 96,509 residents in July 2024, the fifth most populous of Idaho's 44 counties, up 7.2% since the 2020 census. Of those, 71,891 are 18 or older, the voting-age population, and 17.1% are 65 or older. Its 41,560 active registered voters equal about 57.8% of that voting-age population.
It covers 1,922 square miles of land (50 people per square mile), and 26.7% of residents live outside any incorporated city or town. The largest cities and towns are Twin Falls (55,589), Kimberly (5,592), Buhl (4,761), Filer (3,040) and Hansen (1,118). The American Community Survey (2020-2024) puts it at a median age of 36.1, a median household income of $67,409, 23.5% of adults 25 and older holding a bachelor's degree or higher and 70.5% of occupied homes owned by the people living in them.
In 2024, 37,373 votes were cast for president, about 52.0% of the voting-age population; the Democratic ticket took 24.3% and the Republican ticket 73.1%. The two-party margin moved from R+36.7 in 2008 to R+48.8 in 2024.
